RAN for Your Life !

Rayi dan Asta mulai bermain musik bersama sejak sekolah di SMA Al-Izhar, Pondok Labu. Bersama teman-temannya, mereka sempat membentuk band bernama F.R.D. (Funk Rap Disco) dan menjuarai berbagai lomba band antar sekolah. Setelah lulus SMA, band ini vakum lantaran beberapa personelnya melanjutkan studi ke luar negeri.

Saat akan mengikuti Indonesian Song Festival 2006 yang digelar JakTV, mereka pun menggaet Nino, adik kelas mereka untuk bergabung. Memang lagu "Pandangan Pertama" yang mereka bawakan di ajang itu hanya meraih juara kedua, tapi lewat lagu itu jalan mereka untuk rekaman jadi terbuka. Seorang produser bernama Dondy Soedjono menyodorkan demo lagu tersebut ke Universal Music Indonesia. Tak perlu waktu lama, RAN pun segera menandatangani kontrak rekaman.

Album perdana mereka "RAN For Your Life" dirilis pada tahun 2007. Berkat lagu-lagunya yang ceria dan berbeda dengan band kebanyakan yang muncul pada saat itu, popularitas mereka langsung menanjak. Lagu-lagu mereka seperti "Pandangan Pertama", "Selamat Pagi", dan "Hanya Untukmu" dari album ini silih berganti bersliweran di chart-chart radio dan televisi.

RAN sempat merilis dua singel, yaitu "Tunjukkan Cintamu" (kolaborasi dengan penyanyi Malaysia bernama Shila) dan "Ratu Lebah" (OST Ratu Lebah) sebelum mengeluarkan album keduanya, "Friday", pada tanggal 13 Agustus 2009.
Di album berisi 10 lagu ini mereka tetap mengusung musik yang ceria, kreatif dan segar. Mereka juga mencoba berkolaborasi dengan penyanyi dan musisi lain, seperti Dewi Sandra dan Andi Rianto. Sebuah singel berjudul "T.G.I. Friday" secara khusus mereka siapkan untuk membuka jalan menembus pasar Asia. Video klipnya yang digarap oleh Sigi Wimala bahkan dirilis secara khusus di stasiun televisi Channel V. Untuk pasar Indonesia, RAN memilih singel bertajuk "Jadi Gila".

“HOP3” adalah full album ketiga yang berisikan 8 track lagu. Salah satunya adalah 'Mencuri Hati' yang sudah lebih dulu dirilis akhir tahun kemarin.

Meski masih bertemakan cinta, beberapa lagu menawarkan beat yang belum pernah dibawakan RAN sebelumnya. Bukan cuma lagu baru, RAN juga me-recycle tembang yang pernah dibawakan Fatur dan Nadila tahun 90-an yaitu 'Kulakukan Semua Untukmu'.

"'Kulakukan Semua Untukmu' adalah lagu dari masa kecil kami," kata Nino.

Masih ada 'Sepeda','Salah Tingkah','Telepon','Fresh','Singgasana Hati' dan 'Dance With Me' yang bisa dinikmati di album ketiga RAN. Trio ini berharap, 'HOP3' bisa menjadi harapan baru dan memotivasi orang untuk berbuat hal yang positif.
